I'm a tech-savvy enthusiast, and prefer to spend my free time following the latest trends in technology, exploring gadgets, contributing to Quora & Stack Exchange, watching thriller movies & TV shows, listening to pop music, painting & pencil sketching, or going on nature walks.
  A brief timeline
  • Summer 2013 - Joined MapR as a Software Engineering Intern
Loved the start-up culture! California was an amazing place to spend the summer.  Lots of awesome trips and had a great time visiting friends and family.
  • Fall 2012 - Enrolled in the Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science program at NC State University
After nearly a 3 year stint in the Industry, I chose to pursue my masters in Computer Science. It also marked my move to the United States and the experience has been fascinating so far.
I tried volunteering for social causes - one such was teaching creative art at schools adopted by Youth for Seva, an NGO.
I served as the department treasurer and organizing committee member of “Genesis”, the department's annual techno-cultural extravaganza
I was involved with The Duke of Edinburg’s International Award for Young People program and attained the “Bronze Standard” & “Silver Standard”.
Objectives: Community service (at orphanages and old-age homes across Bangalore), Expedition (adventurous treks in wild terrain), Skills (painting) and Physical fitness activities.
